PURPOSE AND CAPABILITY. The Models 7000A and 7001A X-Y Recorders are general purpose laboratory instruments designed to plot cartesian coordinate graphs from ac or dc electrical information. In addition to conventional X-Y recording, a highly accurate built-in time sweep generator may be employed for plotting one variable against time. Specially guarded and shielded input circuitry provides one megohm input resistance at null on all fixed and variable ranges. Seventeen calibrated dc input ranges, twelve calibrated ac input ranges and six available potentiometric input ranges are all provided as standard features. A variable input attenuator is used with the calibrated de ranges to allow arbitrary full-scale voltage settings.

The Model 7001A is similar to the 7000 A except it has no provisions for ac inputs.
